Edstein Creative Stone (J.J Edstein & Sons Pty Ltd) was established in 1896 and has traded continuously since this date. Today the company bears little resemblance to the small family run monumental masonry company that commenced in 1896 but has retained many of the skills and traditional values.
Edstein Creative Stone is now a very modern company that is a market leader in both Monumental and Building Products. The business mix has changed dramatically over the past 10 years and now the Kitchen Benchtops division makes up 70% of the companies turn over with 30% still remaining in the traditional Monumental products.
The modern approach to the business activities carried our by ECS flows through production with the latest computer CAD CAM stone processing equipment available. This equipment ensures accuracy and high quality products to combine with a Quality Control system that ensures our finished product is of the highest of industry standards.
Today Edstein Creative Stone operates out of 2 locations being Taree on the North Coast and Sandgate in Newcastle. Both facilities have up to date showrooms with a large range of products on display for our customers to view and choose from. Taree is the company’s main base with the processing factory attached to the main office and fully linked by computer to the Sandgate office and warehouse. ECS manufactures the majority of the work in Taree and ships the finished article to the desired destination where installation teams are strategically located to facilitate efficient installation.
The customer base for ECS ranges from the individual family or Husband & Wife, through to Kitchen Companies, Cottage Builders and Large Building Companies involved high rise residential and commercial developments. The larger commercial projects have become a very important part of the ECS structure with the ability to take large projects and supply efficient and cost effective range of products and services in the stone. A focus on high OH&S standards can give our smallest or largest client the satisfaction of and safe workplace for all concerened.
ECS has positioned itself at the top of the industry through hard work and
the willingness to embrace technology, invest in staff and the belief in the
