Benchtop Renovation Process
I am happy with the layout of my kitchen I just want to replace my benchtop.
Step 1 – Draw a hand sketch of your benchtop, include the length and width of all benchtops and where the walls are located.
Step 2 – Chose a stone colour. The best way to do this is to go into an Edstein Creative showroom where the qualified team can walk you through all options.
Step 3 – If you already know what colour you would like simply email your plan, stone selection and edge thickness to firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 4 – Whether you visit a showroom or email your plan you will receive a quote back from the team within 24 working hours.
Step 5 – If you are happy with your quote and would like to go ahead, complete page 2 of your quote (contract) and pay a 10% deposit.
Step 6 – We will come and check measure your benchtops around 7 working days from contract and deposit being received. Your current benchtop can remain in place for this step.
Step 7 – Around 12 working days after check measure we will return to install your brand new stone tops.
- Your existing cabinets need to be strong enough to support the new benchtops. Cabinets also need to be straight and level.
- You will need to arrange your own electrician and plumber to remove and reinstall sinks and cooktops. If you are buying new ones they need to be onsite for check measure.
- You will need to have the existing benchtop removed yourself, this needs to happen the day before install. If you are replacing a laminate tops these are normally around 32mm thick, the most cost effect option is to replace this with 20mm stone. The money you safe doing your benchtop in 20mm instead of 32mm will enable you to replace your splashback. Generally splashbacks are damaged on removal of the old benchtops.
- If you want to add additional cupboards this will need to be complete prior to Edstein Creative attending site.
